    Even in a recession we still need to buy necessities but we are also going to continue to buy things we don't need either... We are human and still get are enjoyment from items that make us happy and that usually isn't a gallon of milk or a pack of eggs! We (woman and men alike) like buying fun stuff that we get to show off like a new pair of shoes, a stylish top or big screen TV...Fortunately, we can still buy those items even in today’s tough economic times.     [EDITOR'S NOTE: Readers, this post by Heather H. is very interesting to me and I'll tell you why: Even though I'm incredibly cheap by New York standards (you have no idea how much the women spent on clothes at my last magazine job) I would pay $65 for a shirt, but only if I could justify its being worn a billion times, through a couple of seasons, with lots of outfits—giving it a good "price per wear." What do you guys think?]

    I was walking in Macy's the other day and I saw it...the perfect blouse. It was beautiful ladies, a red satin button down -very slightly puffed sleeve- shirt. This is the kind of shirt that would be fabulous with my business pants or with jeans. I could hear it calling my name as I crossed the lanes of mothers with baby buggies and children screaming that they don't want to go in here.

    I looked at the shirt and fell in love....so next thing, I check for the size and OMG they had my size. I about dropped the shirt from excitement. I already had ideas in running through my head on how I could wear it with my heels and dark denim jeans and pearls that night when I met the girls for the Sex and the City night.
