What incredibly festive shoes! I love the idea of wearing them with matte black tights or peeking out from the bottom of a pair of wide-legged trousers.

It's such a strange time to be thinking about party clothes, right? Part of me just wants to wear jeans for Christmas and New Year's and draw some panic lines on my face. This would more accurately convey how I'm feeling than sparkles and lip gloss. But, ultimately, I love getting dressed up, so I will forge on and be festive. The one thing I am not doing this year is buying a lot of new clothes. It's just not necessary. With a little lift from the right accessories, dresses and skirts and tops from last year can look perfectly good, great even. I've gathered a few above—some of them would also make good gifts.

Here's my fashion dilemma: What do I wear with cropped jackets/sweaters? OR, are they totally OUT now? Please write about this. Love your blog. You are hilarious.

I promise to write a longer post about this, as requested, but my quick note about cropped sweaters and pants is that they cut most people's bodies in weird ways and make you look (whether you are or not) shorter and fatter. Which is a huge bummer. More later. Thanks for the nice words about the blog!

I agree that it is not necessary to go out and buy new clothes if you get some cute accessories instead. I DID buy a new dress recently, but it is a classic black dress that I will wear again and again, but I can keep it looking fresh with brightly-colored accessories (like the adorable red Payless pumps! I'm getting a pair.)

why do women think they need all these things to make them happy instead of the man that you are in love withto be every thing you need

Love all the accesories! They were super cute and bright (mostly) and even if you're wearing a shirt for the goodness-knows-how-many-time, people won't notice and instead will see the cute shoes, earrings, or bracelet you have on.

Great blog and I hope to see more like these in the future. (:
