Apparently, some mothers of boys are up in arms. Sure, they don’t want to vaccinate their children any more than they have to, but now it’s time to step up to the plate. Let’s remind men (and their mothers) everywhere that women can’t get cervical cancer caused by HPV unless they are exposed to it by men! Isn’t it only fair that they step up by taking this vaccine? Seems to me, this is a great first lesson toward teaching our young men a valuable lesson about responsibility (remember, unwanted pregnancies require a guy too!) and could go so far in cementing a lifelong respect and consideration for women.
I’m (semi) open to both sides of the argument, so let’s talk.

Report AbuseWell I just wrote a blog about my thoughts on chivalry...while the topic of HPV failed to come up :) I do agree with you 100%. Guys are always getting away with things that girls can't. I'm not a feminist or a lesbian or anything so don't get any ideas, ye who are poised to contradict me. I just think parents need to teach their boys some responsibility because if a girl gets pregnant, it's not just her problem. If a guy gives a girl an STD, that's definitely his problem. Maybe if guys are taught at an earlier age that women deserve respect and sexual health things will get better!

Report AbuseIf the vaccine is research-proved to prevent cancer and proven safe, yes it is part of a responsible males duty to his partner along with safe sexpractices and birth control
