Should schools allow fringes?

Many schools in my country do not allow fringes. Of course, there are a few exceptions where girls are allowed to have bangs and other sort of hair styles.
Obviously, my school does not allow that.
In the worst scenario, the vice principal scolds that student right in front of the school for not clipping up her fringe, but her own was flying all about her face.

I do feel that if teachers or even the principal, wants to make put fringes down, they should not ban their students from doing it.
If they really want this rule, than teachers have to change theirs into an acceptable hairstyle. Of course, adults can't be using clips because they wouldn't really like it. They would tie all their hair back or gel it up.

Some girls do not look very nice with their fringes up because they need it to cover scars on their forehead, or whatever reason they have.
But of course, i do understand why the school wants to set this rule. It is to unsure that students look like students ( I'm starting to sound like the teacher ), and tidiness.
