New Moon and your daughter

user

Alright, everyone has read New Moon and the twilight series and we all know what happens.

LIFE AS WE KNOW IT ENDS, just because one guy leaves you. Bella (the heroine) goes into full zombie mode. She completely shuts down and shuts out her life. Nothing will be ever as good as it was when she was with him.

I personally, love the books and think they are a great read BUT if I had a duaghter, I would either not allow them to her or have a serious talk about realtionships before she read them. From what kids mimick these days and think is "acceptable" is absouletly crazy. What if she has a "love like Edward" but then he left for her math partner...would she completely shut down too and be miserable, and think thats what is acceptable?

What about you? Do you let your daughter read the twilight series and do you have any concerns about the subject?

Whoa I get that kids do tend to copy what they see on T.V. or movies, but I don't think they live in a world where "it's okay if Bella can do it!' I don't think forbidding them from reading it would do you any good except piss her off and look like a freak to other moms. Just saying from a teen's point of view.... :)))
