Ferris Bueller came in lower than we thought at #10, and noticeably absent altogether were “Sixteen Candles,” “Pretty in Pink,” and "Weird Science." I understand they maybe didn’t want to go too heavy on the John Hughes films (he wrote, directed and produced "The Breakfast Club" and "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" as well) , but “Sixteen Candles” belongs in the top 10 if not top 5. I feel outraged! I also would have expected “The Outsiders,” “Can’t Hardly Wait” or even “Porky’s” to make the cut above “Donnie Darko,” the disturbing tale of time travel and alternate universes.
