Obama says that Jessica Simpson is in a "weight battle"

This is nice behavior from someone calling for unity and
togetherness.
NBC: Obama Calls Singer Jessica Simpson Fat By
Warner Todd
Huston | February 2, 2009 - 02:45
Apparently,
President Barack Obama thought that Jessica Simpson's weight
was something he needed to make fun of during his pre-Super Bowl
interview with Matt Lauer on NBC Sunday. Seriously. Obama called
Jessica Simpson a fatty on national TV.
Lauer displayed for the audience the cover of a recent issue of
the tabloid entertainment magazine US Weekly that featured the
President's wife and daughters and also had an insert photo
pushing a story about singer Simpson.
As he viewed the cover, Obama decided to smack the singer down
for "in a weight battle."

I realize this is kind of behind the times, but I think you are taking his comment out of context...
He was supposed to be on that cover, and US decided to go with Jessica's weight gain as the lead story instead. He was poking fun at the fact that US thought this was news (which, he's right, it isn't). He did not call her fat, and he said nothing about agreeing with the consensus that she had gained weight. He just said that apparently she was in a weight battle.
I didn't vote for him, either, but fair is fair, and your article is a bit misleading. For the record, I didn't vote for McCain either. I voted Libertarian, because I really do want change.

US magazine is not "news"... we all but it for the goss... And we'll stop buying it should they start writing about "real issues" so stop complaining

Rowdygirl, I love Twitter. It can be funny, informative, you can find so much information because often the person also includes a website. My favorite news source I found on Twitter. Ellen Degeneress Twitters, Ashton Krucher made a bet to get more followers than CNN and broke the 1 million follows mark. Oprah is now on Twitter. An editor of a famous New York Publishing company is on Twitter. Information about the technology industry, TWITTER.
Anyway, the followers submit a search, I do not know the Name you selected Rowdygirl but your name or part of it showed up when those people did a Search. IF you had posted a message, they would get a copy of the message in a folder and can read it later.
It is pretty cool. (You can also link Twitter to your Yahoo account to get updates from people you are following.)

With all due respect in regards to my last post (and clearly this one) you need to take some time to slow down and digest the information you are reading. It will make your life a bit easier. Good luck.

1) It's not my fault YOU can't figure out to post a link.
2) Of all the things Obama says, you zero in on this $hit and then
3) Refer to my posts as a 'waste'...
4) Get a clue, then get over yourself, 'cause yer the ONLY one you mean ALL THAT TO.
