For anyone who may not know, YogurtLover's uncle, whom she
is very close to, is on life support and not expected to live. Her
new born niece is also quite ill and in the hospital. I do not
really have any details. I only wanted to post a blog of support
where well wishes and/or prayers could be posted for Yogurt and her
family.
Dear Yogi,
I wanted you to know that there are people here thinking about you
and your family. We are praying for you all, sending good karma and
positive energy to you all, and doing whatever it is that each of
us can do in our own way to send love, hope, peace, and blessings
to you, your uncle, your niece, your sister, and all of your family
in this most difficult time.
I want to say something to make you feel better, but I know those words don’t exist. Instead, I looked for words from others that might grant you some comfort. I looked up a bunch of poems. I finally decided on this one. It was a favorite of my father’s, and it’s a favored among many who’ve served in the military.
"Invictus"
William Ernest
Henley
1849–1903
Out of the night that covers me,
Black as
the Pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods
may be
For my unconquerable soul.
In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have
not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings
of chance
My head is bloody, but
unbowed.
Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms
but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of
the years
Finds, and shall find, me
unafraid.
It matters not how strait the gate,
How
charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the
master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.

Anyone else who has positive thoughts, well-wishes,
and/or prayers for YogurtLover and her family, please leave them
here. Updates from anyone with any information would be greatly
appreciated. (But please, Yogi, don’t worry about any of us here.
Take care of yourself and your family.) Just know that we're
thinking about you, and come back when you can and you're
ready.
