For Yogurt Lover and Her Family

For anyone who may not know, YogurtLover's uncle, whom she is very close to, is on life support and not expected to live. Her new born niece is also quite ill and in the hospital. I do not really have any details. I only wanted to post a blog of support where well wishes and/or prayers could be posted for Yogurt and her family.

Dear Yogi,

I wanted you to know that there are people here thinking about you and your family. We are praying for you all, sending good karma and positive energy to you all, and doing whatever it is that each of us can do in our own way to send love, hope, peace, and blessings to you, your uncle, your niece, your sister, and all of your family in this most difficult time.

I want to say something to make you feel better, but I know those words don’t exist. Instead, I looked for words from others that might grant you some comfort. I looked up a bunch of poems. I finally decided on this one. It was a favorite of my father’s, and it’s a favored among many who’ve served in the military.

"Invictus"
William Ernest Henley
1849–1903

Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the Pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.

In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.

Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds, and shall find, me unafraid.

It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.

Anyone
else who has positive thoughts, well-wishes, and/or prayers for YogurtLover and her family, please leave them here. Updates from anyone with any information would be greatly appreciated. (But please, Yogi, don’t worry about any of us here. Take care of yourself and your family.) Just know that we're thinking about you, and come back when you can and you're ready.

Yogurt, I wish you and your family only the best. Angela is correct. There are no words I can offer to ease all the hurt and pain you are going through or erase your fears. I would give anything if I could take them away from you and give you all your wishes, hopes and dreams.

I will pray for you and your family and wish nothing but the best for all of you. May the Lord be with you and yours, giving you comfort and strength.

    Emma Mae

PS Thank you Angela for creating this post. It was beautifully written and I think your fathers favorite poem was the perfect choice.

    Love you Yogi,

My heart goes out to you and your family during this most trying time. I am here for you if you need me in any way. I am praying for you and your family. You were one of many that held me together when my family was going through a situation like this. I will NEVER forget that!

Know that even though I can't be there with you physically, you will be in my constant thought. I hope that you can find a little bit of comfort in that thought. If you need to talk you know how to reach me.

Woof you forever and a day!

    Your friend, Kim

I asked the Lord to bless you as I prayed for you today.

To guide you and protect you as you go along your way....

His love is Always with you, His promises are true,

And when we give Him all our Cares

You know He will see us through.

So when the road you're traveling on seems difficult at best,

Just remember I'm here praying, and God will do the rest.

Don't know Yogi... yet it is always sad to hear a loved one is not well! I will remember them in my prayers, along with the family that suffers beside!

Angela... Thank you for your comment! I will try to find some time to get through it all. I don't always dive right in to big, long posts. (intimidating) I'm not the best reader or writer by far! I'll give it another shot though!

Please feel free to stop by any time. (if you can stand a few grammatical errors) I try to usually make it good for a laugh!!!! Have a wonderful day!!

Thank you so much everyone! I just got my kids on the bus and am gonna go up there. Today we are taking him off life support.

I had posted a stupid message on my own space.... I didn't want the hate to tear all of you apart again or for people to be upset like what I saw yesterday.

    I'll address that more later.

Thank you to my friends. Thank you for the beautiful poem.

And, yes, Angela... I have a Corgi named Baxter (Baxie). He's my soul pup.

I am sorry to hear Yogi and her family are going through this tough time. I understand it a bit as I went through similar times with my father.

    I am praying for you.

Yogi, I will be thinking of you today. Call me when you get home if you feel like talking. I don't care what time it is. And for anyone who is interested, Yogi has a blog where well wishers can go to leave a message too. Very nice blog Angela, you are a good friend.
