align="left" height="400" width="363">This weekend we saw a
video of Britney Spears performing at an award show (her first live
routine since her last VMA disaster and joining Madonna on stage
one night during her “Sticky & Sweet” tour) and
we couldn’t help but notice some wardrobe similarities. As
Cher would say in “Clueless,” “Was that you going
through my dirty laundry?” Is there any way this costume
resemblance was a coincidence?

Next up,
Christina Aguilera and budding star Lady Gaga, who emerged with a
strikingly similar look to that of Xtina’s latest
incarnation. From photo shoots and videos to blunt blonde bangs and
space age stage outfits, their images are virtually interchangeable
at this point.

Speaking of space age,
everyone’s been freaking out over Beyonce’s latest
futuristic robot look, complete with chrome glove. But where have
we seen that before? Oh yes, fellow R&B singer Rihanna.

we’d like to note that Perez Hilton, though we can’t
stand his hating, has done an excellent job of documenting and
pointing out these “borrowed” looks. We guess scrutiny
can be entertaining at times.
[<a

Okay, you got "corporate" and then you have the real stuff. I disagree with you StormyRider4love. Start looking in the right places for real music. If top 40 is not kicking it then go to individual genres and you'll discover a lot. It's a shame that "corporate" music has more influence and not to mention more marketing pull..... "Corporate" music is all about "making someone" and not "enhancing someone". Every artist will eventually face this....I think I will sit down and write more about this in a blog.....

I only have one thing to say.... The Beatles are STILL the greatest thing to have ever happened to music!
These bleach-blonde clones can't sing, write or play an instrument. The ONLY thing they CAN do is look and act like w----s. Guess that's what sells today.

Nothing has been done originally since the 80's. Artist now are just doing what artist back then used to do. Madonna and Janet Jackson were the biggest icons and trendsetters back then.

madonna is no trendsetter, she ripped off marilyn monroe and many others
