Frame It Up
Scope out garage sales or thrift stores for a large, unique looking picture frame. If you like the color, there is no need to change it. If the current finish isn't your favorite, rough it up with a sheet of sandpaper then cover it with spray paint. Spray paint comes in countless colors, textures, and finishes, it's an inexpensive way to completely change the look of the frame.
Once you've settled on a frame, attach it to the mirror with specific mirror adhesive (readily available at the home improvement store.) Be sure to follow the manufacturer's instructions, you may have to hold the frame in place for a few minutes.
If you have a mirror that's only the width of one sink, you probably won't have any trouble finding a frame that encompasses the whole mirror. If you have a large mirror that spans a double sink vanity, you might have to get even more creative. You probably will find it difficult to locate a frame big enough to go around the entire mirror, but why not use two frames? Simply center each frame above the coordinating sink for a unique look.
Home improvement stores also sell specific mirror frame kits. Your mirror will look less boring, but your own style won't shine.
If you're looking for a weekend afternoon project that's quick and easy, try adding a frame to your ordinary bathroom mirror. The boost to your bathroom's style will definitely give you some almost instant gratification!
