8at8: Consider it an intimate dinner for eight – four single men and four single women, at an upscale restaurant. The focus is not about hooking up but talking, connecting and meeting new people with whom you may connect. Attendees are brought together based on age, mutual interest and background so you will not be the oldest or youngest one sitting at the dinner table. 8at8 started in Atlanta but now thousands of singles are signing up in cities across the United States including Chicago, Dallas, Denver, New York, and Washington, DC.

The Single’s Gourmet: A membership-based club that has been around since 1982, you can now find Single’s Gourmet chapters in most parts of the country. Sign up for $85 dollars a year and each month you will receive a newsletter describing the dinners that are on the agenda, some during the week and others over the weekend. A typical dinner runs from $50 to $80 per person, in addition to the annual subscription fee, but you can expect a four-course meal and a wide range of exotic cuisines.
