Mia Farrow as Rosemary Woodhouse in "Rosemary's Baby" (1968)

Rosemary is carrying the the son of devil, but doesn't realize anything is wrong till halfway through the film. Her innocence is played up with adorable babydoll dresses and peter pan collars. Midway through filming, Vidal Sasson flew to the set to cut Farrow's hair to a Twiggy-inspired pixie for $5000, but we think it was well worth it considering how iconic her style became.

It's not easy to always be fashionable and glamorous, so we're thoroughly impressed that these ladies looked the epitome of chic while being chased by murderers, vampires, Satan worshipers and killer birds. These stylish women stood up to the villains and served as momentary distractions from the creepy, bloody, and intense moments of some of our favorite horror movies over the decades.

Any of the leading ladies in Hitchcock's films could have been on this list. His films are famous for their style. I'd like to point out that Janet Leigh, the woman in the famous "Psycho" shower scene is Jamie Lee Curtis' mother. She said that after making that movie, taking showers bothered her so much that she preferred to take baths only so that she didn't have to pull the curtain.

I disagree with Shelly Duvall. In fact, she was intentionally chosen for that role because she wasn't known to be stylish and wouldn't come off as stylish. She wasn't dressed stylishly either. She was dressed dowdy and "motherly". She was meant to intentionally look weak.

I've always felt bad for Shelly Duvall. On the set of "The Shining", she didn't get along with anyone. Nicholson hated her and was horrible to her. (However, Stephen King hated Nicholson's performance; hates the entire movie actually. He said Nicholson didn't do anything but typical Nicholson "schtick".) Shelly Duvall never had much of a career after this film. She suffers from mental illness today.

I disagree with Shelley Duvall too. You should have picked the chick that played the shower chicks sister in Psycho. He was gorgeous. Too bad I can't recall her name right now. All the others are great though.
